Her moods changed with the weather
Or perhaps they changed with the weatherman’s thoughts
Yes, that definitely seems to be more accurate
Think of a cloud that’s upset–no think of the sky
That is hurt by the things it sees
How sometimes people do things that are unkind
How sometimes people do things that are hurtful to the earth
And so the sky gets really upset
Really angry and decides it’s going to turn things upside down
Yup, the tides are rising, the storms a comin’
Hail hitting the pavement the way the baseballs hit the bat and then the ground
HARD!!!
That’s how she got when she got angry
For any little thing
Just as the sky might get angry and take it out on everyone
Even the farmers that were trying to rebuild the forests
Trying to give new life to the trees
Everyone got it regardless of reason
No one could understand why
So it was a thing
And as with many things, others learned to deal
How do you deal with the storm?
You find shelter until it passed
That’s how it was with her
Sometimes you would have to stay away for more than a day
Sadly, it seemed like the storms were more frequent
The patience (if there ever was any) was less
Like the contractions of a mother that is about to give birth
It took less and less to make her storm
It wasn’t right
It just got worse
The time was coming
To leave the storm and find the sunshine…
